King County Fire Chiefs Association Learning Opportunity
The KCFC Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee is proud to announce an opportunity to learn about different cultures. KCFC’s and the Wing Luke Museum will be presenting a lecture program, panel discussion and Docent led tours around the Chinatown International District and the Wing Luke Museum.
This evening is about understanding the history of AANHPI (Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders) history. We will learn about the AANHPI waves of immigration and the present day communities. We will host a panel discussion with leaders from our community. The panelist will discuss the biggest challenges/fears of seeing someone in uniform, how we can connect better with the AANHPI community, and the cultural barriers to engaging the 911 system.
