Alert and Warning Communications for Wildfires” Technical Assistance Workshop.

FEMA, in partnership with the National Weather Service, is offering the 15-hour, remote-access (Zoom) “Alert and Warning Communications for Wildfires” Technical Assistance Workshop.  The purpose of this workshop is to help jurisdictions improve the speed, reach, and effectiveness of Alert & Warning messages for wildfires. 

The class is conducted over three days (April 2, 9, and 10), via Zoom, from 9:00 to 2:00 Pacific Time each day.

The participants should be those in the public sector with a role in communicating public protective action guidance immediately preceding and during an event. This may include public sector emergency managers, public information officers, social media communicators, and public outreach coordinators. (This workshop is not designed for the private sector or vendors.)
