Fireworks Ban Ordinance 2021-0057 | King County

Fireworks Ban Ordinance 2021-0057: On April 26th the Council voted 5-4 to ban consumer fireworks in unincorporated King County. Washington State law requires a 365-day waiting period, so the county’s ban on consumer fireworks cannot go into effect until 2022. Starting in 2022, residents can enjoy public displays by trained professionals who have been permitted by the King County Fire Marshal, but they will not be able to purchase or discharge fireworks in unincorporated King County.
